My personal "Interpretive" Lens!

"One thing has always been true: That book ... or ... that person who can give me an idea or a new slant on an old idea is my friend." - Louis L'Amour

"Providing a first step on a path to self-reflection." - C. E. James

"Read not to contradict and confute; nor to believe and take for granted; nor to find talk and discourse; but to weigh and consider..." - Francis Bacon

"What is true today may be reevaluated as false not long after. Judgements are frequently based upon a set of "temporary" circumstances surrounding them. Conflicting ideologies can exist simultaneously. Antagonistic dualities are complementary aspects of a unified whole: are seen as mutually dependent mirror images of each other." - Nahum Stiskin

Kenpo Gokui

The lines of the ken-po goku-i are set from an atomistic aspect simply because it is the manner in which the brain learns. Its nature is completely holistic and like the I Ching must be in a form that promotes learning and understanding so a person can see, hear and grasp the nature of a holistic system. The gokui is a method to teach us how to be holistic. Its terseness is the best that can be done to convey its holistic meaning.

A person's heart is the same as Heaven and Earth while the blood circulating is similar to the Sun and Moon yet the manner of drinking and spitting is either soft or hard while a person's unbalance is the same as a weight and the body should be able to change direction at any time as the time to strike is when the opportunity presents itself and both the eyes must see all sides as the ears must listen in all directions while the mind must grasp all the tactile, olfactory and gustation data not seen on all sides and not heard in any direction

Void - Universe - Gokui ……….

Blog Article/Post Caveat (Read First Please: Click the Link)

In my continued studies concerning the void. Martial beliefs use the void to denote emptiness, the space between "Things."

It may turn out that what we think of as void actually is not, like the black of space the void consists of "Some Thing."

The black of space that surrounds all perceivable matter we humans can see is filled.

What I am considering is the theory of Black Matter and Black Energy filling in those areas we see as the black of space - "The Vacuum."

When studying the "Theory Principal," of the sub-principal of "The Void," we think of the rhythm and cadence, etc., that resides between our actions and thoughts like the space, voids, between the notes in music that form that music.

The reason I venture down this path is due to a strong connection between karate and martial arts to the ancient Chinese classics studied by practitioners where the "Universe" is connected via principles such as yin-yang and so on. Granted we can always assume the ancients didn't know of or even understand such concepts but that would be a huge mistake.

The mere fact they created such symbolism grants them the leeway toward the knowledge. Such as the great tai chi from a singular great start point referred to as the "One," where some action, think Big Bang theory, created duality, I.e., yin-yang, that resulted in myriad thing, the cosmos, represented by the eight trigrams then further to the 56 hexagrams used to Devine the myriad things of nature, life and human existence.

Start by continuing to accept the void for what it currently is then add in that it is not truly a void but a substance that is as real as the principles of the mental, physical and spiritual actions manifested in karate and martial arts, the glue that makes it all work.

The material of the void likened to the strings that connect every aspect of the entire universe from the interstellar cosmos down to the very substances that are our very DNA.
