Self Defense and Interviews

What the heck is this guy talking about now. I have expressed some thoughts on true self defense and found out that I can extend self defense or self protection beyond actual attacks against you and how you handle it, etc.

Lets just say that you were attacked. Lets say that you defended yourself. Lets also say that you stayed within the boundaries of the law in that defense.

The Police were called and they are now "interviewing" you on what occurred, what do you do? You are a good guy, you did nothing wrong, you simply protected yourself against some person intent on doing you harm and you want to make sure your "story is told." Your "side of things" is important to you and you have the urge, a strong urge, to tell your story to the good guys, the police interviewing you right this instance. What do you do?

Well, if I have it right you talk to them telling your story and in your enthusiasm tell a lot more than just the facts and the officer is recording this both on paper and in his mind.

Wrong! What you do in this instance and any and all instances where dealing with a police officer you say absolutely nothing, nadda, not one word. You take the fifth! He may say that it makes you look guilty and it may even get you cuffed and taken "down town." You say nothing, the only words out of your mouth no matter how innocent is, "I am using my fifth amendment rights officer." You then shut up and remain silent no matter what he says or does. If you do "down town" exercise your right to an attorney.

Now, don't believe me...but listen to both of these video's, both, then tell me what you would do.

Video Two

These video's were initially brought to my attention on a email list run by the wife of Marc MacYoung, author of the No Nonsense Self Defense web site.
